The above painting, Flowers, is my most recent painting done by commission. The painting was loosely based on the painting Garden. Both of these paintings can be seen on the Time-Flies page of this website. A commission inspired by another painting provides an excellent guideline. A commission can be based on anything the buyer wishes, from a photograph to a 'feeling'. I do not, however, paint replicas of photographs, as I am not currently interested in realism. Commissions are paid fifty percent in advance, and the rest is paid upon approval of the buyer (if the buyer does not live in Vancouver approval is made through a photographic image). The painting is then shipped to the buyer. If you are interested in discussing a commission, feel free to contact me.
